Mocha Dot and Her Babies

Mocha Dot.....she is one of our first "Mocha" colored hedgehogs we produced. She is a pinto with "Mocha" color quills, it gives the overall feeling of mocha coffee--hence the name. She recently had her first litter of babies and has produced similar colors--We are hoping to continue to produce this color. We believe this color to be related to the bone colored hedgehogs we have been producing.


These pictures are a fairly good representation of what a two week old baby hedghog looks like. Most of the very first set of quills are gone which are very thin. Their eyes usually don't open for another week and they have no fur yet. They usually have lots of baby fat too at this age.
